Behavior that is the result of the process of labeling and its consequences

Examples: 
A person cannot get a job because of a prison record and resorts to more criminal behavior in order to survive.
An addict cannot afford to buy drugs because their illegality makes the price very high. He or she steals in order to support the habit.
