UNAUTHORIZED MIGRANT

A person who enters a country and stays without the permission of the government.

Examples: Someone from Ireland who enters the United States on a three-month tourist visa, stays beyond that time, and works in this country without having a green card; someone from South America who goes to Canada and slips across the border into the United States without a visa.
