With reference to Jay Walljasper’s article,
describe the most important reason why the Dudley Street Neighborhood
initiative was successful in revitalizing a poor neighborhood. How did
this one reason make DSNI different from many other efforts to help
poor people?
With reference to information given in Chapter 6
and in the article by De Uriarte, how would you respond to someone who
says that immigrants take jobs away from U.S. citizens? Include in
your answer an explanation of how economic globalization both takes
jobs out of the United States and increases immigration.
