    What you will need to know from these readings:
    a. examples of secondary deviance
    b. how definitions of deviance vary according to time, place and social position
    c. how the metaphor of a train may be used for understanding the concept of deviant career
    d. the contribution of conflict theory to our understanding of deviance
    e. the relationship of deviance to social inequality

If you hand in typewritten answers to the study questions by Thursday, November 11, you may gain extra credit to increase your grade for this week's test. You may also use your answers to the study questions as a substitute for the quiz.
